Electric Trains in Costa Rica
Within the next 2 to 3 years Costa Rica plans on building an electric train system. These plans came after a Brazilian company was hired to carry out a study on the project to determine its feasibility. The actually construction of the project has been estimated at $90 million. The real budget for the project will depend on financial backing from the banking corporations.

Gringo is not a racial slur to white people. It is simply a term used to identify foreigners. Remember, the meaning of many words are very different in Costa Rica.

There’s not a night that goes by that there aren’t tables full of people at Hot Rocks. Even if the clubs are going strong, there are still tables full here. Why? The only honest answer is the movies. Hot Rocks plays four movies every night, starting at 6pm. The movies are played with a digital projector on a large outdoor screen.

Once you’ve biked and hiked your way to any of the many secluded beaches in Mazanillo, it’s time to break out your snorkel and mask. There is decent snorkeling at any of the beaches here. Although it’s not the greatest snorkeling in the world, it’s still a fun way to spend the day. There are tons of small damsel fish, crabs all over the place, and if you’re lucky, you may see an eel or lobster.

January in Costa Rica
Traveling to Costa Rica in January is a great time to vist as far as the weather is concered. The only problem is that everyone know this, making January one of the busiest months for travel in Costa Rica.

January in Costa Rica is still very early in the countries dry season. Most of Costa Rica gets little rain this time of year and has a regularly sunny forecast. The central and western regions tend to stay extra during this month. The little rain that does fall in January tends to come in short afternoon and evening showers.
